The skins to look at first
Pink Mercy returned in 2024 alongside Rose Gold Mercy. Noire Widowmaker came from the original preorder offer, while Illidan Genji and Tyrande Symmetra were 2019 BlizzCon rewards. Each has a different history and a specific look to check.
Current offers matter too. Blizzard announced a cosmetics Vault Sale for November 3–December 7, 2026, with bundles from several eras. Check the bundle contents for your favorite; the announcement does not name every returning skin.
Pink Mercy and Rose Gold Mercy
Pink Mercy returned for the June 25–July 8, 2024 charity campaign, alongside the separate Rose Gold Mercy skin. An older claim that Pink Mercy has never returned is therefore wrong.
Keep the two versions separate when looking at an account or a gallery. A past charity campaign does not tell you which one an account owns or whether either is in today’s shop.
Noire Widowmaker and the BlizzCon skins
Blizzard’s original Overwatch preorder offer included Noire Widowmaker. Its 2019 Virtual Ticket offered Illidan Genji and Tyrande Symmetra.
If one of these is your must-have, check the exact skin on the account and the current offer details. A similarly themed recolor or another version of the hero is not the same purchase.
Old Battle Pass skins need a fresh look in 2026
Blizzard’s October 6 notes introduced Unvaulted Pass progression and made Legacy Seasons 1–15 available to purchase. Some original rewards, including Mythic skins, Prisms and Coins, are excluded from those unvaulted passes.
That means “from an old Pass” and “cannot be obtained now” are no longer interchangeable. Read the current Pass or shop contents rather than assuming the original reward list is being offered unchanged.
Check a skin without guessing
Select the hero and exact skin in the game’s collection. Check whether it is owned and which Mythic customization levels are unlocked, then match that look to the account description.
Before paying for a favorite skin, make sure it is included in the offer. The current official shop and game collection are also useful places to check while you are still browsing.
