Account Level adds up progress across seasons
Your Fortnite Account Level is the combined levels you have earned across seasons. The progress shown for the current season or Pass is a different number. A level 2,000 account is not level 2,000 in the current Battle Pass.
When comparing a listing with a screenshot, read the label next to the number. It is an easy way to avoid comparing two different things.
Where to look
Epic’s Account Level guide points to the Career tab and the number at the bottom left. For the current Pass, open its own progress and rewards screen from the Passes area.
If you save a screenshot to compare later, leave enough of the screen visible to identify the number. A tight crop of a large level can be hard to interpret.
Does a higher level mean a better locker?
Not necessarily. Level does not tell you which Passes were bought, which rewards were claimed or which styles were unlocked. The Locker’s actual items answer those questions.
Suppose one account has a much higher level but lacks the two outfits you want. The level does not make those outfits appear. Use it as background information, then compare the cosmetics and access that matter to you.
| Number | What it helps you understand |
|---|---|
| Account Level | Progress accumulated across seasons |
| Current Pass progress | Progress toward that Pass’s rewards |
| Outfit count | How many outfits are reported |
| Named outfits and styles | Whether your favorites are included |
Check the reward itself
Some Battle Pass rewards need a level threshold and earlier claims. If a specific item is the reason you are choosing an account, check that item rather than assuming the level proves it.
