Call of Duty on Battle.net: where progression lives

Separate a Battle.net game license from linked Activision progression before evaluating a Call of Duty account or changing links.

Check the platform license and Activision profile separately

For Call of Duty games that support cross-progression, Activision says the progression is stored on the Activision account, with platform accounts linked to it. A named Call of Duty title in a Battle.net library is therefore not a complete description of the progression behind that link.

If you care about a campaign license, start with the exact game and edition. If you care about multiplayer unlocks or a cosmetic, you also need evidence about the linked in-game profile and that specific content. Combining these checks too early is how a game title turns into an unsupported “fully loaded” claim.

Use a three-part account map

This map is a reading aid, not a promise that every part is delivered with every listing. Establish each box from the actual account description and current official account screens.

Unlinking is not a method of moving progress

Activision’s current guide warns that linking a platform account to a different Activision account does not bring the original progress with it. It also documents restrictions around unlinking. Do not treat an unlink button as an import tool or experiment with links to find out where items went.

Before any deliberate change, identify both accounts, confirm access to the relevant verification channels and read the current warning. If your objective is to combine two histories, first establish that the publisher actually supports that operation. Similar email addresses, matching nicknames or ownership of the same game do not prove a merger is possible.

Read the game title precisely

Modern Warfare III, another Modern Warfare release and Black Ops Cold War are different product names. A two-cover Battle.net thumbnail helps identify supported included games, but the detail page supplies the complete disclosed list. Do not infer a newer title, a premium upgrade or an expansion from shared franchise artwork.

Build your shortlist around the version your friends actually play and the content you want to access. Keep optional edition benefits and in-game balances in separate rows. A historical purchase may explain how something was acquired; it does not establish that a consumable balance remains available today.

After delivery, record the actual mismatch if one appears

Check the named game access and the relevant in-game profile before changing links. If a disclosed item is missing, note which game, platform and profile you were viewing, together with the exact item name. Keep screenshots focused on that evidence and hide login details, private email addresses and security codes.

Use the accs.io order page for questions about what was delivered. Publisher account-management support is the place for current link eligibility and unavailable verification channels. A precise report avoids conflating a license issue, a profile-link issue and an undisclosed progression assumption.
